How to use the Surname Index

The surname index is a version of the family tree that can be accessed on the web. For privacy reasons it does not contain all details for living relatives.

This means that the online content is only part of the information I have available. These omissions are deliberate. Should you require additional information, please email me.

To use the surname index, click on a surname which will take you to a page similar to the one below:

Index of first names : Smith

  1. John Smith
  2. Sally Smith

The page shows two names and those names containing more information have a link. This means if you click on the link you will be taken to the second page of information for that person, such as that below:

Sally Smith

Parents

Mother Father
Ethel Jones John Smith

Other information

still living - details excluded

I know this system is difficult to use, but it's the best I can do online. If you are a direct relative you can request a copy of the full family treee on CD. The copy on CD uses the Brothers Keeper program which has a nice Windows interface and is quite easy to use. If you'd like a copy, just email me below and request it.
